I have tried changing boot options from one drive to another and one time I did this and Windows booted up. I did a build for my cousin last week and had this issue...it turned out the SATA data cable was bad. I hate to have a system that freezes without warning.Also when installing windows if i have both disk connected Windows refuses to create the system partition on my SSD so i Gigabytes are notorious for doing this, and I've seen it more than once. I am not convinced the SSD is dead, as it shows up in the BIOS and can be selected as a boot option.
