I've had success doing this by using the trial program CDClone to copy a badly scratched problem disc to a new one.

Repairing or Replacing the Hard Disk: My suggestion is to Replace the Hard Disk if you have warranty or buy a new one in order to avoid future problems. The disk it was on went bad and I couldn't find anything that would copy it over.
