Not sure what can be causing this. After that I did access the bios and my cpu temp was 100c/250f so I shut it all down for a couple of hours. The setup on my rig is a bit different though I had to balance 200MM fans with 120MM so it does not create unwanted turbulence or mismatched airflow. I've searched all over the internet and only found a few places that mention anything like this. Cpu Over Temp Error After I turned it off for awhile it read 38c but again after trying to get it to run and playing around with it for about ten mins it was up It is the default heatsink/fan that came with the CPU. My suggestion only works if you do not have a fan hooked up to the PWM pinout on the Mobo which will give the same error.

Press F1 to Run SETUP It would not boot into windows 7 Pro so I went into the bios and selected advanced fan control and saw cpu temp in the RED. EDIT: also, if you are getting an over-temp error on first boot, your heatsink isn't seated correctly.
